Near Death Experiences

Near-death experiences (NDEs) are unusual perceptions recounted by people after recovery who had nearly died or who were clinically dead and revived.
Near-death experiences generally include such subjective impressions as of being outside the physical body (an out-of-body experience), visions of deceased relatives and religious figures, and other transcendental experiences.

These experiences generally contain similar elements for most people who report them. The most intense near death experiences involve an awareness of things occurring in a different place or time, vast distances away from the physical bodies. It is a metaphysical moment of release by the soul from the physical. People also feel the presence of a spiritual reality.

The dramatic intensity of near-death experiences among people, who have them, often causes changes of life perspective and direction, away from self-centeredness toward spirituality, and the appreciation of life. There is a decreased fear of death and the universe acquires a more compassionate meaning for them and they see themselves as an integral part of the cosmic design.

In human beings, consciousness is much more sophisticated than in other species and it seems that one part of our brain has developed the amazing capacity to become aware of itself and its destiny.

The philosophy as propounded by near-death experiences is that the reason for our very existence is to attain spiritual growth. Our physical body is a vehicle to carry out a mission for God for spiritual growth. According to religious beliefs, sometimes a soul will come back even if it does not want to as it has issues to work out. Many of these souls have gone on to write about near death experiences to help others understand what is going on, on the other side.
